Having built a Shinyapp (https://www.zacrogers.co.uk/post/portfolio92) looking at Contractual Values within the NFL, I decided to make an analytical-based argument on how to best draft, focusing on the contracts of rookies.
I used prior research from others (Ben Baldwin, Eric Eager, Kevin Cole) and the shinyapp I built to decide how I would draft if I were in charge of an NFL team.
The draft is 261 picks which is generally split into four groupings (Top 10 picks, the remaining of the 1st round, Day 2 picks and Day 3 picks) and I wrote detailed reasons for why I would focus on drafting certain positions using this year's rookie picks as examples.
