Website Header

As described in both the Website Logo and Dual-Purpose Artwork; I had two pieces commissioned for my website by 2 separate artists in order to a completely personalised look for my website.

For the background, I went to someone who specialises in that sort of artwork while the for the logo I went to someone who specialises in Logos. But in order to complete the header, I had to combine them (with their permission I was allowed) to complete the look.

Before learning about Indesign, I botch worked it in the Wix website editor which meant occasionally it went completely wrong and had to be fixed. But once I learnt about Indesign, I realised I could do it all through the application and then save it as a PNG.

I had a few issues, first of all, I had to work out how big the website header was and through trial and error worked it out to be 35mm tall which meant shrinking the work down to fit in the newly measured dimensions. My next problem was width dimensions of the website header and where the difference between the dotted lines symbolising the edge and where the artwork should stretch for monitors with bigger resolutions as well as a mobile device.

In the end, I managed to get the look I was looking for and am super proud of it being done the professional way instead of a botch-job.
