TUR Week 2 is the second article in my weekly series tracking "The Unlucky Receivers" (TUR) metric that I created in the offseason.
I update everyone on the situation about upgrading the metric to look at drives rather than plays. The reason for this is that players tend to get targeted in the endzone after not catching the first target. The issue with that is it inflates their endzone target TD bonus currently which hopefully this will stop that effect. It will, also, be able to look at who made the yards up and got "lucky" by taking advantage of a teammate's misfortune.
Just like in week 1; I do a deep dive into the top 10 for week 2, look at endzone targets and players that could have gone into my other metric (League Winners) using my TUR formula.
I, put a table for the top 10 overall (2020/2021 season) but elected not to write more as I have spoken about eight of the ten players.
My plan with this metric for the next week is to try and get TUR2.0 finished, but if not I'm not too worried.
