As part of analytics for BlueChipScouting, I was looking at how to find an advantage using public data, but not many people use to put it together.
The inspiration is fantasy points expected, lots of people do it differently, and it is fascinating for me. One of the things I found was that a lot of the best performances show them as over expectations which is great but why not exclusively look at expectations but what they could have done in a particular week.
As it stands, it is all done in an excel document, but I am hoping as my analytics capabilities improve I can add more parts to the formulas such as looking at luck from who benefited from others misfortune etc.
